I had kind of a similar problem with my copy of guild wars. I bought it from EB games, and when I scratched off the stuff covering the cd key it wasn't there. The silver stuff was covering a blank piece of paper. Luckily, the people that work at my EB games are nice and just gave me a new cd and scratched it off there to make sure it had a key.
